Fun Collection of Oddball Stuff About Me:

Warning: This is not a "professional" page. This page has been included for entertainment and for you to get a to get a better sense of who I am as a person.

Spiritual outlets: Labyrinths (prefer walking them, however I use a sand labyrinth every day to clean my thoughts out) | My Unitarian Universalist Faith (I almost became and may still become a UU Minister) | Listening to everyone’s stories | Walking
If I was stranded on a desert island I would want this book with me: Conversations with God & my Boy Scout Manual
Music: Anything that is performed well - Really! Though I lean toward funky rhythms crossed with bosa nova.
Indoor activity: Reading | Cooking | Playing with a loved one
Least favorites: Those who are in the box (And I realize that I am in the box when I say that) | Careless drivers | Complainers | Victim Mentality
Things I don't really mind: Stupid questions | Stress | bookkeeping | The Impossible | Red Lights | the slow lane | people in the box

"Want to make
God laugh?

. . .

Tell him your plans"

(Jewish proverb)

I wouldn't be who I am today if it wasn't for these people:
My Mom, Rita
My mother, my friend, my first coach, a voracious reader, gracious, stunning, amazingly quick and razor sharp intellect, pitbull, movie and theatre maven, great travel companion. This woman is my role model for thought provoking conversation – She can engage in conversation with just about anyone and they will thank her for it. She taught me most of what I know about communicating with people. Grace, Intellect, Elegance, Charm.

My Dad, Jerry
My father, my mentor, my business partner, my wise old man, my rock in the storm, my friend, my inspiration for doing business right. An amazingly talented absent minded professor type who can simmer 20 ideas and amaze the pants off you when they are all interwoven in a machine or tapestry in front of you eyes. Clean, simple, practical quality. Taught me most of what I know about business and how to lead people.

Kezia Shine, a soul mate, a spiritual guide, a thought provoker, a sister, a friend, a thriving rose in a desert of understanding. Humor, spirit, light, sexy, energy. Early on in our friendship she taught me what it means and the value of “forgiveness”

Tim, my older brother, who was my best friend for years, though I never knew it (this is a huge shift for me - it used to read he never new it - I only recently realized that I had it all backwards in real life. My issues with him were about the story I created about him because I mistreated him - Thank you Tim, Jon & Arbinger). Loving father of my nephew and niece, a blend of our parents gifts and talents. Precise and knowledgeable; understands physical and worldly things deeply. An amazing man.

Michael James Ellis, oldest, dearest friend. We grew up across the street from each other. He was my first business partner – we had business cards when we were 10. Funny, clever, goofball, incredible father, loving husband, “Beaker” turned social chairman, engineer, “MacGyver” qualities, lover of all things fun.

My Wonder Team of Coaches Last Fall - Jon Benfer, Clive Prout, Barbara McAfee, and Jan Berg

I want to say so much more about all of these AMAZINGLY FABULOUS individuals in my life who have taught me so many things (almost in order of appearance in my life): Georgia Meredith, Esther Ellis, Sue McMorris, Sheryl Sellards, Geno Johnson, Erica Rayshel, Sigrid Dexheimer, Stephanie Steele, Judy Dennenberg, David Anderson, Yvonne Catala, Len Kluft, Dorothy Willis, Cheri (van den Kieboom) Radovancevic, Carrie Fix, Marc Allain, Joan Eischen, Trish Benedict, Angela Hersil, David Zach, Bill McGinnis, Nadine Stockli, Sandra Heuts, Judy Beer, LA Reding, Lerae Frisby, Paula Winters, Maureen Bohorfoush, Paul Sherman, Al McShepard, Alexander Caillet, Jilly Shaull, Doug&Sara Smalley, Claudette Lajam, LeeAnn Villella, George Johnson, Thea Sheldon, Jon Benfer, Scott Lewis, Diana Gabriel, Kristine Spiegelberg, Valerie Hoiness, Jen Kochevar, Jessica Ferm, Clive Prout, Jan Berg, Patricia & Craig Neil, Julio Olalla, and many more AND more to come.

Vanity Central
Biggest accomplishments: 1)Saying YES to sharing with the world what I know and no longer letting myself bend to fit other's comfort zones. It needs to be shared and I have a voice in sharing it. 2) listening to my soul and following my calling. 3rd)Saying no to business school and no to seminary
Worst time in my adult life: Not realizing that I had no more room in my life for romance while everyone I dated saw that right away - see my story about living in the future.
Best lesson I've ever learned: Stop expecting things – Life happens in between the plans – "You want to make God laugh . . . Tell him your plans" (Jewish proverb)
Smartest thing I've ever done business-wise: Breaking the rules of business to attract engineers to our manufacturing company by using Lego® style literature and playful attitude.
Favorite Distinctions:

  • ACCEPT vs TOLERATE
(As Julio Olalla shared with us toleration is in reality- delayed rejection)
  • RESPOND vs REACT
  • PERSON vs OBJECT

I’ve borrowed the idea for this page and several other design ideas from a fellow coach up in Canada – Cassandra Gierden at www.prophetcoaching.com She borrowed it from Thomas Leonard.
